Supply-Side Revenue (30d)

Every fee split has two sides. Supply-side revenue is the side that compensates whoever provides the resource being used, such as liquidity in an automated market maker pool, capital in a lending market, or block production on a proof-of-work or proof-of-stake chain. It is the complement of protocol revenue and the two must sum to total fees under a consistent adapter.

Waar het misleidt

This is gross income to suppliers, never their profit: it excludes impermanent loss and adverse selection for liquidity providers, energy and hardware costs for miners, and operator commission and slashing penalties for validators, so a pool can post strong supply-side revenue in a month when its providers lost value. Token incentives paid to suppliers out of new issuance are not fees and are excluded here, which understates what suppliers actually received. Validator income from maximal extractable value often moves through off-chain relay channels the adapter cannot observe, so chain figures can be materially incomplete. Where a protocol has no supply side, the figure is zero by construction rather than by performance.

Cost of revenue or partner payouts. The analogy fails because these are not contracted vendor costs; the payment is a protocol rule applied automatically to anonymous participants who can withdraw at any block.
