How to read this file. Each tab answers one question. Overview is the summary. Price is what it has done. Fundamentals is what it earns. Tokenomics is what happens to supply. Valuation puts the two together — with the limits of doing so stated. Every figure shows the period it was measured over and who published it.

What this is

Avalanche is a layer-1 smart contract blockchain designed to let developers build and deploy decentralized applications at high speed and low cost. It positions itself as an alternative to older networks that struggle with congestion and high transaction fees, targeting both application developers and everyday users who interact with those applications. AVAX is the native token of the network.

Avalanche uses a proof-of-stake consensus protocol in which validators stake AVAX to participate in securing the network and confirming transactions, with a block time recorded in the data as effectively instantaneous. AVAX is used to pay transaction fees on the network, to stake as a validator, and to participate in governance. The network currently has 443,363,658 AVAX in circulation out of a maximum supply of 720,000,000, meaning roughly 61.6 percent of the maximum supply is currently circulating.

Transaction fees are paid by users of the network and, according to the data, 100 percent of protocol revenue is retained by the protocol itself rather than passed to supply-side participants such as liquidity providers, as shown by a take rate of 100 and supply-side revenue of zero over the trailing 30 days. Fees over the trailing 24 hours totaled 8,817 dollars, over the trailing 7 days 90,418 dollars, and over the trailing 30 days 461,584 dollars, with annualized revenue projected from the trailing 30 days at 5,615,938.67 dollars. Fee and revenue growth over the trailing 30 days was 394.23 percent, indicating a sharp recent rise from a low base. Because all fees are treated as protocol revenue here, the fee-based and revenue-based measures on this page are identical.
