Spread of Market Capitalisation to Fees
As of 20 October 2026, the market-cap-to-fees ratio across the fourteen assets in this dataset spans from 3.4x (Uniswap, annualized from the trailing 30 days) to 18,565x (Bitcoin, annualized from the trailing 30 days), with Zcash recording 14,182x and Cardano 4,705x at the wider end, and Solana 183x and TRON 110x at the narrower end. A wide ratio means that, at the point-in-time market capitalisation recorded, each dollar of annualized fee activity is associated with a large number of market-cap dollars. What the ratio does not imply is any judgement about whether that relationship is appropriate, sustainable, or likely to change; it is a descriptive arithmetic output, not a valuation conclusion.
Fee Retention: Take Rate Variation

Chain-Basis Versus Application-Basis Figures

An application running on a chain does not receive the base-layer fees that the chain itself earns; conversely, a chain's fee total includes activity from all applications deployed on it. Why These Are Not Equity Multiples
