How to read this file. Each tab answers one question. Overview is the summary. Price is what it has done. Fundamentals is what it earns. Tokenomics is what happens to supply. Valuation puts the two together — with the limits of doing so stated. Every figure shows the period it was measured over and who published it.

What this is

Bitget Wrapped Bitcoin (BGBTC) is a tokenized representation of Bitcoin issued by the Bitget exchange, designed to let Bitcoin holders participate in decentralized finance (DeFi) without selling their underlying BTC. The token is pegged 1:1 with BTC and lives within the Ethereum ecosystem, making BTC-denominated value compatible with smart-contract platforms. It is aimed at Bitcoin holders who want access to yield-generating DeFi activities that native BTC, held outside a smart-contract environment, cannot directly reach.

Each BGBTC is issued by Bitget and backed by BTC held by the exchange on a 1:1 basis; users mint or redeem BGBTC through the BGBTC subscription channel on the Bitget platform. The token operates on Ethereum, so it can interact with DeFi protocols that require ERC-compatible assets. Staking BGBTC on Bitget Earn can generate reward points called BGPoints, which Bitget says can be converted into token airdrops when partner projects hold their token generation events.

The data stored for BGBTC contains no protocol fee stream, so there are no fee-based measures such as revenue, fee yield, or fee-to-market-cap ratios available on this site. The circulating supply stands at 1,184 tokens as of the data snapshot, all of which represent 100 percent of the supply issued, with no dilution overhang and an fdv-to-market-cap ratio of exactly 1.0, meaning no additional tokens are pending issuance. Any economic return for holders would come from external staking rewards and partner airdrop programs described by the project, not from an on-chain fee mechanism captured in this data.
