Đọc tài liệu APIEthereum is a Layer 1 blockchain network, launched on 30 July 2015, that functions as a global, open-source platform for building and running decentralized applications without relying on any central authority. Where earlier blockchain networks focused narrowly on transferring value, Ethereum was designed to let developers write and deploy self-executing programs called smart contracts, enabling services ranging from lending protocols to digital-asset marketplaces. The network targets developers and users who want access to financial and non-financial applications that operate transparently and without a single controlling intermediary.
Ethereum reaches agreement on the state of its ledger through a Proof of Stake mechanism in which validators lock up ETH as collateral, propose and attest to new blocks roughly every 12 seconds, and earn ETH rewards for doing so honestly. Transactions and smart contracts execute inside the Ethereum Virtual Machine, a shared computing environment run across thousands of independent validator nodes, with the results recorded permanently on-chain. ETH itself serves as the fuel for this system: users pay transaction fees denominated in ETH, a portion of those fees is permanently destroyed through a burn mechanism, and validators retain the remainder as compensation.
The network generated 10,406,288 USD in total fees over the trailing 30 days and 225,183,987 USD over the trailing 12 months, paid by users whose transactions consume computational resources on the network. Of the trailing-30-day fees, validators and stakers received 7,640,736 USD as supply-side revenue, while the protocol retained 2,765,552 USD as protocol revenue, implying a take rate of approximately 26.6 percent over that period. The burn mechanism destroyed 58,978 USD worth of ETH in the most recent 24-hour window, producing a slightly negative net issuance rate of -0.007144 percent annualized, meaning total supply is currently shrinking by a small amount rather than growing. The nominal staking yield for validators currently stands at approximately 2.2 percent, funded by the combination of new issuance and fee revenue.
