GRX Chain

GRX is the native utility and governance token of GRX Chain, an EVM-compatible blockchain built within the GroveX ecosystem and aimed at developers and users who want fast, low-cost infrastructure for decentralized finance, on-chain trading, payments, and broader Web3 applications. It is classified as an exchange token because GroveX, a centralized exchange, serves as the primary entry point into the ecosystem, even though GRX Chain and GroveX are operated by separate legal entities. The token is intended to solve the problem of fragmented, high-cost blockchain infrastructure by providing a purpose-built base layer tightly integrated with an exchange.

GRX Chain uses a Delegated Proof of Stake consensus model, in which validators are chosen based on GRX staked by themselves and by delegators who assign their tokens to a validator of their choice. GRX is used to pay gas fees on the network, to participate in that staking and delegation process, and to vote in on-chain governance decisions. A wrapped version called WGRX follows the ERC-20 standard, allowing GRX to be used in DEX liquidity pools such as GRXswap, and the protocol includes a burn mechanism designed to reduce supply by incinerating a portion of designated fees until a set threshold is reached.

These figures mean that fee-based measures on this page, such as fee yield, carry almost no informational weight under current network usage levels, and the burn mechanism's practical impact depends entirely on whether fee generation increases materially over time.
