Monad

Monad is a Layer 1 blockchain designed to run smart contracts at high throughput, claiming a capacity of 10,000 transactions per second with near-zero fees. It targets developers and applications that require rapid, frequent on-chain activity — such as decentralized exchanges or gaming platforms — where slower or costlier blockchains create bottlenecks. Its native token is MON.

Monad separates the consensus process from transaction execution: validators first agree on the ordering of transactions, then execute them in parallel rather than sequentially, using a custom database called MonadDB to maintain accuracy at speed. This parallelized EVM design means smart contracts written for Ethereum can run on Monad without code changes, and standard Ethereum wallets connect to it natively. MON is the network's native token, used to pay transaction fees on the chain.

The network collected 293,053 USD in fees over the trailing 30 days, of which 237,164 USD was retained as protocol revenue — implying a take rate of roughly 80.93% over that period, with 55,889 USD flowing to the supply side. Fees grew 127.74% over the trailing 30 days, and revenue grew 105.79% over the same window, indicating that fee activity has expanded significantly in recent weeks. Annualizing the trailing 30-day fee run rate produces approximately 3,565,478 USD, which sets the market-cap-to-fees ratio at 92.01 and the fully diluted valuation-to-fees ratio at 783.41.
