How to read this file. Each tab answers one question. Overview is the summary. Price is what it has done. Fundamentals is what it earns. Tokenomics is what happens to supply. Valuation puts the two together — with the limits of doing so stated. Every figure shows the period it was measured over and who published it.

What this is

Pirate Chain (ARRR) is a proof-of-work cryptocurrency launched on 29 August 2018 that is designed for fully private peer-to-peer transactions. It addresses the problem of transaction traceability on public blockchains, targeting users who want no publicly visible record of their payment activity. Unlike privacy coins where shielding is optional and therefore inconsistently applied, Pirate Chain mandates that every transaction be private.

Pirate Chain uses the Equihash proof-of-work consensus algorithm, meaning miners compete to add new blocks roughly every one minute. Every transaction on the network is shielded using zk-SNARKs, a form of zero-knowledge cryptography that allows the network to confirm a transaction is valid without revealing the sender, receiver, or amount. ARRR is the native token used to pay transaction fees and transfer value within this shielded environment.

The data stored here does not include a protocol-level fee revenue figure, so fee-based measures such as price-to-fees or revenue yield are not available for this asset on this site. Transaction fees in proof-of-work systems like Pirate Chain are typically paid by senders and collected by the miners who produce each block, rather than flowing to a protocol treasury. With roughly 98.1% of supply already in circulation at the time of this snapshot and a dilution overhang of approximately 1.93%, the remaining issuance available to compensate miners is modest.
