Safe is an infrastructure project that provides smart-contract-based account technology for the Ethereum ecosystem and other compatible networks, positioning itself as a foundational ownership and custody layer for digital assets in web3. It addresses the problem that standard externally owned accounts offer limited security and flexibility, and it targets a broad range of users from individual holders to large organisations and developers building applications that require programmable, multi-signatory control over funds. Its two main products are Safe{Core}, a stack of account-abstraction infrastructure, and Safe{Wallet}, a widely used multi-signature wallet.

Safe operates through audited, formally verified smart contracts deployed across more than 15 networks, meaning that assets are held and transactions are executed by code rather than a single private key. The multi-signature model requires a defined number of authorised parties to approve a transaction before it executes, removing single points of failure. The SAFE token exists within this ecosystem and has a circulating supply of 775,307,296 tokens against a maximum supply of 1,000,000,000, with roughly 77.53 percent of the maximum currently in circulation and approximately 28.98 percent of supply still pending issuance.
