How to read this file. Each tab answers one question. Overview is the summary. Price is what it has done. Fundamentals is what it earns. Tokenomics is what happens to supply. Valuation puts the two together — with the limits of doing so stated. Every figure shows the period it was measured over and who published it.

What this is

Starknet is a Layer 2 scaling network built on top of Ethereum, designed to let the Ethereum blockchain process far more transactions than it otherwise could without sacrificing decentralisation or security. It uses a family of cryptographic proof systems called STARKs to compress and verify large batches of transactions off-chain before settling their results on Ethereum. The STRK token serves the network by enabling holders to pay transaction fees, participate in governance, and eventually take part in the consensus mechanism that keeps the network running.

Starknet operates as a validity rollup, meaning every batch of transactions it processes is accompanied by a cryptographic proof that Ethereum itself can verify, so no party needs to be trusted to report results honestly. Transactions are bundled and executed on Starknet, and the proofs are posted to Ethereum, which acts as the ultimate settlement layer. STRK is the native token of this chain, used to pay the fees that compensate the network for generating and submitting those proofs.

Fees are paid by users who submit transactions on Starknet, and in the trailing 30 days the network collected 256,318 USD in total fees, with an annualised run rate of approximately 3,118,536 USD based on that same window. Protocol revenue over the trailing 30 days was 253,308 USD, representing a take rate of roughly 98.83 percent of gross fees over that period, meaning the protocol retains almost all fee income while the supply side — validators and provers — received 3,010 USD over the same 30 days. In the trailing 12 months, total fees reached 1,974,300 USD and protocol revenue reached 1,951,722 USD. The median transaction fee on the most recent full day was 0.008709 USD, indicating that individual transactions are inexpensive for users.
