Active addresses, 7-day
How many distinct addresses were active on the network at least once in the past week.
A weekly window removes the day-of-week pattern that makes the daily figure jumpy, and captures users who transact occasionally rather than daily.
Where it misleads
Addresses are not people and a single user routinely controls many. Exchange and bridge addresses represent large numbers of end users behind one entry, and automated activity inflates the count on cheap chains.
Reading a high or a low value
Compare with the daily figure: a wide gap means most users are occasional rather than daily.
