How to read this file. Each tab answers one question. Overview is the summary. Price is what it has done. Fundamentals is what it earns. Tokenomics is what happens to supply. Valuation puts the two together — with the limits of doing so stated. Every figure shows the period it was measured over and who published it.

What this is

ZKsync is a Layer 2 scaling network built on top of Ethereum, designed to make transactions faster and cheaper for users and developers who find Ethereum's base layer congested or costly. It uses zero-knowledge cryptography to process many transactions off the main Ethereum chain while still inheriting Ethereum's security guarantees. The ZK token is the native asset of this ecosystem.

ZKsync operates as a rollup that batches transactions together, compresses them using zero-knowledge proofs, and periodically posts cryptographic evidence of their validity back to Ethereum for final settlement. This means Ethereum itself acts as the ultimate arbiter of correctness without needing to process every individual transaction. The ZK token is used within the ZKsync ecosystem, including for governance and as a network fee and utility token on the ZKsync Era chain.

The protocol collected 14,017 USD in fees over the trailing 30 days and 468,634 USD over the trailing 12 months, paid by users submitting transactions on the network. The take rate for the trailing 30-day period is recorded at 100 percent, meaning the protocol retains all fees collected, with supply-side revenue — the portion paid out to external parties such as liquidity providers or validators — recorded at zero over the same period. Annualizing the trailing 30-day fee figure produces an annualized fee and revenue figure of 170,540 USD. Fee and revenue growth over the last 30 days was 210 percent, though the absolute amounts remain modest relative to the network's market capitalization of approximately 181 million USD.
