FDV / Annualized Revenue
Fully diluted market value divided by the yearly fee income the protocol retains.
This combines the two most contested inputs in digital-asset analysis: a supply figure that includes tokens not yet issued, and a revenue figure that depends on where an analyst draws the line between fees paid away and fees retained. It is normally the largest of the four fee and revenue multiples the site publishes. Reading it alongside the market-capitalization and fee versions shows how much of the multiple comes from supply not yet outstanding and how much from the share of fees paid to service providers.
Comment c'est calculé
(price x fully diluted token supply) / (protocol revenue over the last 30 days x 365/30)
Où cela induit en erreur
Both inputs are estimates, so the errors compound: a provider that defines fully diluted supply generously and revenue narrowly will report a multiple several times another provider's for the identical protocol. Projects still distributing large token incentives frequently pay out more value in emissions than they retain in revenue, which this ratio does not net off anywhere. For protocols whose retained revenue is small in absolute terms, the ratio swings violently on ordinary week-to-week variation. Where the maximum supply is unenforced or absent, the numerator is a construct rather than a measurement.
La comparaison avec les actions, et pourquoi elle ne tient pas
Enterprise-value-to-revenue on a fully diluted basis. The analogy fails because enterprise value nets out audited debt and cash of a legal entity, no such balance sheet exists here, token holders hold no residual claim, and the diluted count follows an emission schedule that no board authorizes and no regulator reviews.
Interpréter une valeur haute ou basse
A high value means the eventual full supply is priced at a large multiple of retained fee income; a low value means it is priced at a small multiple of it. Comparisons are only meaningful between assets where the same supply definition and the same fee split were used.
