Volume to value locked
How many times the value locked in a protocol is traded in its token each day.
Puts market activity in the token against the capital actually deployed in the protocol behind it.
Where it misleads
The two legs measure different things — one is trading in a token, the other is deposits in contracts — so this is a rough scale check, not a ratio with a clean interpretation.
Reading a high or a low value
Extreme values in either direction usually indicate that one of the two figures is not representative.
