Aethir

Aethir is a decentralized cloud computing network that connects owners of high-performance graphics processing units, particularly Nvidia H100 chips, with enterprise clients who need that computing power for artificial intelligence and machine learning workloads. It also serves cloud gaming operators by providing virtual computing resources. The project aims to make GPU capacity accessible without relying on a single centralized provider, with the stated goal that the infrastructure and governance remain community-owned.

Aethir operates across multiple blockchain ecosystems including Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Solana, where the ATH token functions as the native asset of the network. GPU providers, called containers in Aethir's terminology, supply computing resources and receive payment in return, while enterprise clients pay to access that capacity. The token is used within this marketplace to coordinate payments and, according to the project, to give the community a stake in the network's direction; no consensus algorithm or block time is recorded in the data held here.
