How to read this file. Each tab answers one question. Overview is the summary. Price is what it has done. Fundamentals is what it earns. Tokenomics is what happens to supply. Valuation puts the two together — with the limits of doing so stated. Every figure shows the period it was measured over and who published it.

What this is

Dash is a Layer 1 blockchain launched on 19 January 2014 and designed to function as digital cash for everyday payments. It aims to let anyone send money quickly and at low cost, without relying on a bank or payment intermediary. The project positions itself as a decentralized payment solution for consumers and merchants who want an alternative to traditional financial infrastructure.

Dash secures its network using a hybrid system that combines Proof of Work mining under the X11 hashing algorithm with a second tier of incentivized full nodes called Masternodes, which enable features such as InstantSend for near-instant settlement and optional PrivateSend for transaction mixing. Blocks are produced roughly every 2 minutes, and the data shows an average block time of 155.96 seconds over the most recent 24-hour period, during which 554 blocks were added. The DASH token pays miners and Masternodes, funds on-chain governance proposals, and is the unit transferred between the 1,755,799 addresses currently holding a balance.

Transaction fees on Dash are very small by design; the 24-hour average fee per transaction is 0.001427 USD and the 24-hour median is 0.000189 USD, reflecting the network's low-cost payment goal. Total fees collected over the trailing 7 days were 120 USD, over the trailing 30 days were 709 USD, and over the trailing 12 months were 10,641.35 USD, with fees over the last 30 days declining 5.88 percent relative to the prior period. The protocol records zero revenue for the 24-hour, 30-day, and trailing 12-month periods, meaning no portion of fees is retained by a protocol treasury under the definitions used on this site; the fee-based valuation ratios shown here consequently reflect only the very modest fee stream paid by users to miners and Masternodes. New DASH issued to block producers totalled 42,773.44 USD in the most recent 24-hour period, which represents the primary economic incentive for network participants rather than fee income.
