Kaia
O que é isto
Kaia is a Layer 1 public blockchain designed to be compatible with Ethereum, with a stated focus on bringing Web3 applications to users in Asia through messenger superapps they already use. The project aims to lower the friction of accessing decentralized applications by embedding blockchain functionality into familiar communication platforms. Its intended users are the large populations across Asia who interact with these superapps daily.
Kaia uses a highly optimized form of Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance, known as pBFT, as its consensus mechanism, which the project states allows it to process 4,000 real-world transactions per second with a one-second block time and immediate absolute finality. This means transactions are confirmed without the probabilistic waiting periods common in some other designs. The KAIA token functions as the native asset of this chain, used to pay for transaction fees and to participate in the network's economic activity.
The chain collected 82 dollars in fees over the most recent 24-hour period, 565 dollars over the trailing 7 days, and 1,716 dollars over the trailing 30 days, giving an annualized fee run-rate of 20,878 dollars based on that 30-day window. Users initiating transactions on the network pay these fees. The protocol retains a substantial share of what it collects: its take rate over the trailing 30 days stands at 91.14 percent, leaving 152 dollars to supply-side participants — validators or equivalent — over that same 30-day period. Protocol revenue annualized from the trailing 30 days comes to 19,028.67 dollars, while the trailing 12-month revenue figure is 69,502 dollars.
