Kaia
Qué es esto
Kaia is a Layer 1 public blockchain designed to be compatible with Ethereum and aimed at bringing Web3 services to users across Asia through the messenger superapps they already use daily. Its stated goal is to lower the barrier to blockchain participation for a very large population that may have no prior experience with crypto wallets or decentralised applications. The KAIA token is the native asset of this network.
Kaia uses a variant of Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance consensus, described as highly optimised, to process up to 4,000 transactions per second with a block time of one second and immediate finality, meaning transactions cannot be reorganised once confirmed. Being Ethereum-equivalent means developers can deploy standard Ethereum smart contracts on Kaia without rewriting them. The KAIA token is used to pay transaction fees on the network and to reward participants who help operate it.
The network collected 5,312 USD in fees over the trailing 30 days and 56,768 USD over the trailing 12 months, paid by users initiating transactions on-chain. Of those 30-day fees, the protocol retained 4,056 USD as revenue, implying a take rate of roughly 76.4 percent over that period, with the remaining 1,256 USD going to the supply side. Annualising the 30-day figures produces approximately 64,629 USD in fees and 49,348 USD in protocol revenue, and 30-day revenue grew 53.13 percent compared with the prior period. The market-cap-to-fees ratio stands at 4,397.71 using those annualised figures, reflecting how small the current fee base is relative to the network's market capitalisation of 282,380,423 USD.
