Momentum

Momentum is a decentralized exchange (DEX) application whose native token is MMT. It is designed to let users trade digital assets directly with one another through automated on-chain liquidity pools, removing the need for a centralized intermediary. The protocol operates across both the BNB Chain and Sui ecosystems, targeting users who want non-custodial trading access on those networks.

As a DEX application, Momentum facilitates token swaps through liquidity pools rather than a traditional order book, with the protocol's smart contracts handling settlement on-chain. MMT is the exchange-based token of the protocol, meaning it is tied to the platform's activity and governance within its respective blockchain ecosystems. No consensus algorithm is recorded for MMT itself, as it is an application-layer token rather than a base-layer asset.

The protocol generates fees from traders who use its swap infrastructure; in the trailing 30 days, total fees reached 36,610 USD, and annualizing from that same 30-day window produces an annualized fee figure of 445,421.67 USD. Of those 30-day fees, 29,286 USD flowed to liquidity providers as supply-side revenue, while the protocol retained 7,324 USD as protocol revenue over the same period, implying a take rate of approximately 20 percent. Both fees and protocol revenue grew roughly 35 percent over the trailing 30 days. Total value locked at the point of measurement stood at 4,056,766.44 USD, against which the 24-hour trading volume of 533,091 USD was recorded.
