How to read this file. Each tab answers one question. Overview is the summary. Price is what it has done. Fundamentals is what it earns. Tokenomics is what happens to supply. Valuation puts the two together — with the limits of doing so stated. Every figure shows the period it was measured over and who published it.

What this is

Nano, trading under the symbol XNO, is a Layer 1 cryptocurrency designed to function as a fast, feeless medium of exchange for everyday payments. It targets the problem of slow and costly transactions that affect users of traditional payment networks and many other cryptocurrencies. The project describes itself as a simple, purpose-built payment protocol rather than a general-purpose smart-contract platform.

Rather than a conventional blockchain, Nano uses a block-lattice data structure, a form of Directed Acyclic Graph in which every account maintains its own chain of blocks, allowing transactions to be processed asynchronously and nearly instantly, reflected in a block time of zero minutes in the stored data. Consensus is reached through Open Representative Voting, a mechanism in which the weight of a vote is proportional to the XNO balance delegated to a representative, without requiring coin holders to lock up their tokens or earn inflationary rewards. XNO is the native unit used to transact on the network and to delegate voting weight to representatives.

Nano collects no transaction fees by design, which means there is no fee revenue flowing to validators, the protocol, or any other party. This is an intentional architectural choice rather than a gap in the data. Because there is no fee stream, fee-based valuation measures that this site might apply to other assets are not applicable here. The protocol's entire circulating supply of 133,248,297 XNO is already issued, representing 100 percent of the maximum supply, so there is also no future token issuance to fund network participants.
