Non-Playable Coin (NPC) is a meme token and NFT hybrid built around the non-playable character internet meme, with a motto of 'I support the current coin.' It was designed with the stated aim of giving all eight billion or more humans on Earth a way to own a piece of internet culture, whether as a fungible token or as a collectible NFT. The project targets anyone who participates in meme culture and wants exposure to both the decentralized-exchange and NFT-marketplace ecosystems at once.

NPC is issued as an ERC20 token that can also be converted one-for-one into an ERC1155 NFT through the project's own decentralized application, a format the team calls a meme fungible token or MFT. Users can switch between the fungible and non-fungible forms — described in the project's language as 'transforming' or 'respawning' — allowing the token to be traded on conventional decentralized exchanges such as Uniswap as well as on NFT marketplaces. The entire circulating supply of 8,050,126,520 NPC equals the maximum supply, representing 100 percent issuance with no tokens pending or held back as dilution overhang, so there is no future scheduled token release either.
