How to read this file. Each tab answers one question. Overview is the summary. Price is what it has done. Fundamentals is what it earns. Tokenomics is what happens to supply. Valuation puts the two together — with the limits of doing so stated. Every figure shows the period it was measured over and who published it.

What this is

Osmosis is a Layer 1 blockchain built within the Cosmos ecosystem that functions as a decentralized exchange and cross-chain DeFi hub, allowing users to trade and provide liquidity across more than fifty interoperable blockchains connected through the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol. It is designed for anyone who wants to swap or pool assets from networks including Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, and Polkadot without relying on a centralized intermediary. The problem it addresses is the fragmentation of liquidity across separate blockchains, which historically made cross-chain trading slow, costly, or dependent on trusted bridges.

Osmosis operates its own sovereign blockchain and processes trades through automated market maker pools, having begun with Balancer-style weighted pools and since added a concentrated liquidity model intended to let a given amount of capital support more trading volume with less price impact. The OSMO token is used for governance, allowing holders to vote on protocol parameters, and it is also used for staking to help secure the network, with stakers earning a share of swap fees generated on the exchange. The consensus algorithm is not recorded in the data held by this site, but as a Cosmos SDK chain Osmosis relies on the broader Cosmos validator architecture.

Osmosis generates revenue from swap fees paid by traders using the exchange, though the protocol itself recorded zero revenue over both the trailing 24-hour and trailing 30-day periods and zero over the trailing 12 months, meaning the protocol currently retains none of the fees collected — those fees flow to liquidity providers and stakers rather than a protocol treasury. Despite the zero protocol revenue, the exchange did collect fees: 156 dollars in the past 24 hours, 1,144 dollars over the trailing 7 days, and 3,196.03 dollars over the trailing 30 days, with the 30-day figure representing a 129.21-dollar increase over the prior 30-day period. Annualizing the trailing 30-day fee run rate produces 38,885.03 dollars, which places the market-cap-to-annualized-fees ratio at approximately 739 and the fully diluted valuation-to-annualized-fees ratio at approximately 911. The total value locked on the protocol stands at 11,691,350.16 dollars at the current point in time, with roughly 18,176,222.86 dollars in stablecoin supply hosted on the chain.
