Ankr Network

Ankr Network is a decentralized Web3 infrastructure provider whose ANKR token sits at the center of a platform designed to make it easier for developers and applications to connect to multiple blockchains simultaneously. The project targets developers building decentralized applications, businesses that need customized blockchain solutions, and individuals who want to stake digital assets through its Ankr Earn product. Its stated purpose is to reduce the complexity and cost of accessing blockchain networks by offering shared API and remote procedure call infrastructure.

Ankr operates as an application-layer service rather than its own blockchain, meaning it does not have a native consensus algorithm or block time of its own; instead it sits on top of existing networks including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Polygon, Fantom, Arbitrum, and Optimism. The ANKR token functions as a governance instrument for the liquid staking component of the platform and is used to pay for certain services within the network. The circulating supply equals the maximum supply of 10,000,000,000 tokens, so no additional dilution from new issuance is possible.

Ankr generates fees by charging for access to its RPC and API infrastructure and through its staking services; those fees totaled 78,980 US dollars over the trailing 30 days and 1,018,870 US dollars over the trailing 12 months. The protocol retains a portion of those fees as revenue, keeping approximately 10 percent as measured by the trailing 30-day take rate of 10.003798 percent, which translated to 7,901 US dollars in protocol revenue over that same 30-day window. The remaining roughly 71,079 US dollars in the trailing 30 days flowed to the supply side, meaning the node operators and stakers who provide the underlying services.
