Leia a documentação da APIArbitrum is a Layer 2 scaling network built on top of Ethereum, designed to process transactions faster and more cheaply than the Ethereum base layer while inheriting its security. It targets developers building decentralized applications and the users of those applications who would otherwise face high fees and slower settlement on Ethereum. The ARB token is the governance token of the Arbitrum ecosystem, giving holders the ability to participate in decisions about the network's development.
Arbitrum operates as an optimistic rollup, meaning it processes batches of transactions off the main Ethereum chain and then posts compressed records of those transactions back to Ethereum for final settlement, assuming them valid unless a fraud proof is submitted. The network produces blocks at effectively zero block time as stored, with a median transaction fee of 0.00311 USD on the most recent full day recorded. ARB itself does not pay for gas on the network — that role is filled by ETH — but ARB holders vote on protocol upgrades and treasury allocations through the Arbitrum DAO.
Fees are paid by users submitting transactions on the Arbitrum network, primarily denominated in ETH. Over the trailing 30 days, the network collected 334,008 USD in total fees, of which the protocol retained 332,101 USD as revenue, reflecting a take rate of approximately 99.43 percent over that period. The supply side — meaning sequencers or other infrastructure providers — received 1,907 USD over the same 30-day window, indicating the protocol captures nearly all of the fee flow. Over the trailing 12 months, total fees reached 11,503,226 USD, and fees grew 13.23 percent over the most recent 30-day period.
