API ドキュメントを読むCompound is a decentralized lending and borrowing protocol built on Ethereum and deployed across several other blockchains, including those in the BNB Chain, Avalanche, Polygon, NEAR, and Harmony ecosystems. COMP is its governance token, designed to give holders and their delegates a direct voice in how the protocol is managed and updated. It addresses the problem of centralized control over financial software by allowing a distributed community of token holders to vote on changes to interest rate models, supported assets, and other protocol parameters.
COMP holders can delegate their voting rights to any address they choose, including their own wallet, another user, or an application, without transferring the tokens themselves. Any address that has had at least one percent of the total COMP supply delegated to it can submit a formal governance proposal, which if passed is executed directly on-chain. COMP does not itself power a separate blockchain and has no consensus algorithm; it lives as a token on the networks where Compound is deployed and derives its function entirely from the governance rights it confers.
The data stored for this asset does not include a fee revenue stream, so there are no figures available on fees collected, who pays them, or how they are distributed. This means fee-based valuation measures are not applicable here. What is known is that the entire maximum supply of 10,000,000 COMP is already in circulation, giving a fully diluted value equal to the current market capitalization of 225,636,168 USD, with zero supply pending issuance and zero dilution overhang.
