How to read this file. Each tab answers one question. Overview is the summary. Price is what it has done. Fundamentals is what it earns. Tokenomics is what happens to supply. Valuation puts the two together — with the limits of doing so stated. Every figure shows the period it was measured over and who published it.

What this is

Flow is a layer-one blockchain built specifically for consumer applications and digital assets such as NFTs and sports collectibles. It aims to address the difficulty of building large-scale, user-friendly applications on existing blockchains by offering a design that balances transaction speed, low cost, and decentralisation simultaneously. Its intended audience includes application developers and everyday consumers who may have little prior experience with blockchain technology.

Flow uses a Proof of Stake consensus mechanism combined with a distinctive multi-role architecture, in which different node types handle different parts of transaction processing rather than each node performing all tasks independently. Smart contracts are written in Cadence, a programming language purpose-built for Flow, though the network also supports full Ethereum Virtual Machine equivalence so that Ethereum-compatible code can run without modification. FLOW, the native token, is used to pay transaction fees, participate in staking, and act as the base currency within the network.

Flow collects fees from users submitting transactions to the network; over the trailing 30 days those fees totalled 234.01 USD, and the annualised figure derived from that 30-day window stands at 2,847.12 USD. Over the trailing 12 months, total fees came to 2,376.01 USD, and 30-day fee growth was negative 59.16 percent, meaning fees collected in the most recent 30-day window were meaningfully lower than in the prior comparable period. The protocol recorded 0.00 USD in revenue over the trailing 12 months, indicating that the protocol itself retains none of the fees collected rather than directing any portion to a treasury or token holders. Because annualised fees are very small relative to market capitalisation, the market-cap-to-fees ratio stands at 15,993.13, a figure that reflects how little economic activity is currently flowing through the network.
