How to read this file. Each tab answers one question. Overview is the summary. Price is what it has done. Fundamentals is what it earns. Tokenomics is what happens to supply. Valuation puts the two together — with the limits of doing so stated. Every figure shows the period it was measured over and who published it.

What this is

Linea is a Layer 2 scaling network built on top of Ethereum, designed to process transactions faster and at lower cost than Ethereum's base layer while inheriting its security. It uses zero-knowledge proof technology to compress and verify transaction data, then settles the results back to Ethereum. The network targets developers and users who want Ethereum-compatible smart contracts and decentralized finance applications without paying Ethereum mainnet gas prices.

Linea processes transactions off the main Ethereum chain using a zero-knowledge virtual machine that is designed to be equivalent to the Ethereum Virtual Machine, meaning existing Ethereum code can run on it without modification. Batches of transactions are compressed into cryptographic proofs and posted to Ethereum mainnet for final settlement, so Ethereum ultimately enforces the validity of every Linea block. The LINEA token operates within this system, and the network records a block time of effectively zero minutes in the stored data, reflecting near-instant block production at the L2 level.

Fees are paid by users submitting transactions on the network; the median transaction fee was 0.023974 USD on 2026-09-23. Over the trailing 30 days, the network collected 38,571 USD in fees, and the take rate for that period is recorded at 100 percent, meaning the supply-side revenue for the same period is 0.00 USD — no fees were distributed to third-party participants such as liquidity providers or sequencer operators outside the protocol itself. Annualizing from the trailing 30 days produces a fee and revenue figure of 469,280.50 USD, while the trailing 12-month figure stands at 1,447,440 USD, indicating the two periods differ materially. Fee growth over the last 30 days was negative 1.24 percent.
