Price
The most recent traded value of one unit of the asset, expressed in US dollars.
Price is not taken from a single exchange. Aggregators build a composite by taking recent trades across the venues and trading pairs they cover, weighting each venue by its reported volume, and converting non-dollar pairs into dollars. Because digital-asset markets run continuously and have no closing auction, the figure refreshes constantly and there is no official close from which the day is measured.
易产生误导之处
The composite averages venues of very different quality, so a thinly traded venue reporting inflated volume can pull the number away from where size actually trades. Most tokens are quoted mainly against a stablecoin rather than dollars, so the price silently inherits any deviation in that stablecoin's peg. Wrapped, bridged, and staked derivative versions of an asset trade at their own prices, and providers differ on whether to map them to the canonical asset or list them separately. During venue outages or withdrawal freezes, a last print can remain stale for hours while no size can actually transact there.
与股权的类比,以及为何该类比不成立
Last sale price on a listed equity; US equities have a consolidated tape and a regulated closing auction, so there is one official price and one official close, neither of which exists in digital assets.
如何解读高值或低值
Price describes the value of one unit only and says nothing about the size of the network or the aggregate value of all units. Comparing prices across assets is meaningless without also knowing supply.
