Days Since All-Time High

This counts calendar days from the date of the all-time high to today. Because digital assets trade every day, the count is in calendar days rather than trading sessions. It puts the percent-below-high figure in a time context: a given shortfall reached last week is a different situation from the same shortfall reached years ago.

Where it misleads

The count is anchored to a single print, so one erroneous spike on a thin venue can inflate the reading for years afterward with no way to correct it. Assets that launched recently necessarily show small counts simply because their history is short, which makes ranking on this column partly a ranking by age. Providers with different all-time-high records publish different day counts for the same asset. The measure treats a price one percent under the high and one ninety percent under the high as the same state.

Days since the 52-week high in equities; equity highs come from a regulated consolidated tape and are adjusted for corporate actions, so the anchor date is auditable in a way a token's is not.

Reading a high or a low value

A larger number means more time has passed since the highest recorded price. Read it alongside the percent-below-high figure, since duration and magnitude are independent.
